If you have paid attention to my blog at all, you might have noticed that I’ve done some exploration into what I’ve called “weaponized narcissism”. I won’t rehash it all right now, but this is a very infantile state that has been cultivated among the western population in a number of ways. Not everyone “catches” it, if you will, but it definitely gets one ahead in situations where social status is paramount in maintaining any sort of relevance or respectability.

In western politics, it’s safe. It’s avoiding certain topics in order to not be ridiculed, as if the worst thing to happen would be mockery from other bobble heads on twitter or other platforms while NATO burns the world down for the benefit of the very few.

Continuing from part one, I take a look at the polarization caused by the Obama effect that’s been important in shifting focus away from him and onto Trump with regard to immigration. I try not to complain about an odious Jacobin article too much and who they represent instead moving on to who is really being represented in the faux pro-immigrant spectacle that is coalescing around Trump.

Mass and spree shootings are now an accepted regular occurrence in the US. The news will be sure to tell us each time another is reported that we are in danger of reaching some tipping point that we are still not yet at despite all the handwringing done over “why are we okay with this? When will we say enough is enough? Why are we killing each other?” These meaningless questions are repeated over and over between the clips of “live coverage” given by spineless robots who ask what the witnesses or survivors (or actors) were feeling at the time of the assault. Drugged-out seeming family members are paraded before glaring studio lights and tell us they are ready to heal, to move on, to forgive, and that they feel nothing but love for “the community” coming together.

Departing from my research on eugenics, but only slightly in this first installment expanding on the reality nightmare theme I discussed last time, I am doing a series on the anti-Trump production that has been gaining momentum. Please do not take this to mean I don’t find antifascist action important — what I find sorely lacking in this developing broad-based “fight” that includes opportunist DNC and GOP groups with lots of money and lots to gain is the realization of the context of the fascist state we actually do live under, and because of that the definitions of antifascism and dissent are quickly being eroded by the spectacle. I find myself disgusted with the “hot takes” telling us to chill, relax — fascism is actually bandied about too much! Americans are heavily indoctrinated to view the state they live under as a flawed liberal democracy that can be fixed. So here I give a brief history of the evolution of the fascist state and the incremental development of white nationalism on a broader economic scale since the Great Depression.

A funny thing happened to me the other day. Funny not meant in the “haha” sense whatsoever, but more of a representation of how “mind control” actually works on americans every four years or so. So, funny in the very peculiar sense that control of information and ideas that makes up collectives of minds is not seen as a current, conscious project that works in various directions to splinter mental faculties important for critical thinking.

Here is part one in case you missed it. I am continuing on in this post by giving a short history of the region I was in at the time just prior to Obama’s selection and my experience with political activism within the community and online. To the point: I am going to demonstrate how the space that was supposed to open up for progressive change did anything but and was more likely a smokescreen that worked in many directions. My personal observations and experiences will show how this obscured (un)natural disaster and responses, extremist Tea Party starvation that followed in budgetary measures, and finally the desertion by “private” industry once the population had been laid low, culled, and generally materially devastated after they had sucked out as much labor and value as they could before moving on.

Over and over again I see leftists online repeating that the Sanders campaign is really opening up space for “radical/leftist/socialist [insert any other once useful term that media has sucked meaning out of] politics”, that this is momentum that needs to be seized upon to nudge more people in accepting redistributionist policies. It is abundantly clear that many others feel the same. The more careful observers who do their best to preserve memory recall the bashing the “far left conspiracist flakes” received over the summer that was yet another indicator of things to come. The presumed “holdouts” are going to be continually marginalized during the rest of the year for not joining in the chorus.

For quite a while, I’ve thought that the shallow — or perhaps more accurately academic — divide between modern and postmodern “cultural studies” and “economics” is a fake one. Surely if the social is shaped by our material reality and not vice versa, this should be fairly easy to prove given the right reading and approach. However we are still surrounded by ideas informing us that this is not the case, so it is easy to lose sight of this task by virtue of the same media onslaught emanating from those who have the ability to shape it for their own gain! For some very cut and dry specifics on this rather than circular, abstract notions the Reasonable Left likes to wave around, I’ve been finding the book Myths, Lies, and Oil Wars by F William Engdahl instructive recently. This following excerpt is dated around the 1950s in the US, the “golden age” for the expanding Rockefeller oil dynasty.
